Dawn is a business owner, restaurateur, writer and publisher who has always been passionate about food, cooking, and culinary adventures. Her goal is to share her love of Southern Alberta and to promote the local food and drink culture of the region.
Dawn left the corporate world of business and technology in 2008 to purchase Paradise Valley Golf Course in Medicine Hat, AB. Now, as co-owner of Paradise Valley, she continues to manage the business remotely from the West Coast, where she is the publisher of Edible Vancouver Island. She is commited to supporting and promoting small business owners, local artisans, farmers, producers and chefs in both provinces and across North America.
She is involved with the facilitation of several events and festivals each year, and works closely with organizations such as Tourism, Economic Development, the Chamber of Commerce, Edible Communities Inc. and the Culinary Federation of Canada.
The mother of 5 "mostly grown-up” children, Dawn loves spending time outdoors when she isn’t playing in her kitchen or sipping wine with friends!
